Matt Chun is an artist, writer and picture book creator, working between Yuin and Wurundjeri lands.

He is co-editor of anti-colonial and anti-imperialist publication The Sunday Paper.

Previously, Matt has created work for National Museum Australia, Meanjin Quarterly, Overland Literary Journal, Art Monthly Australasia, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, State Library Victoria, 關渡國際自然藝術季 Guandu International Art Festival and مخيم شاتيلا Shatila Palestinian Refugee Camp.

He is also one half of the collaborative art and history project UnMonumental, alongside fellow artist James Tylor. UnMonumental has created work for Richard Bell’s Tent Embassy, Art Gallery South Australia, Sydney Living Museums, North Fitzroy Library and Cordite Poetry Review.

Matt’s most recent picture book, in collaboration with South sea/Darumbal writer and journalist Amy McQuire, is titled Day Break.
